Dear Parents
The long-awaited sakura season is not far off, and to celebrate the season and the last day of term, we are planning our annual Japan Culture Day on Friday, March 29th.
This year, Japan Culture Day will have specific focus on the many different prefectures that make up Japan and its rich and varied culture. All classes from G1 and up will soon be assigned a specific prefecture, and start preparing for their presentations to other classes that will take place on the morning of Japan Culture Day. To help them in their research, we are currently looking for volunteers who are willing to come to school and share knowledge about a prefecture that they are particularly informed about or linked to in some way. It can be casual and brief- just a chance for the children to gain some unique insight in to their assigned location. If any of you are keen on the job and happy to share about prefectures such as Hokkaido, Okinawa, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, Aomori, etc, please let us know, and we will get back to you with details on the class and timing.
Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
PTA Committee
