Spelling - Our Spelling words this week were a review of the short vowel sounds we have learnt.
Writing - In writing children finished writing their goals and drew pictures to match these goals. These will be displayed in the classroom as reminders of what they will be working on this term. We also started a new unit in writing learning the conventions of a sentence. Sentences are complete thoughts that begin with a capital letter and end with a punctuation mark.
Reading - We continued to practice reading with a partner and introduced a new strategy called echoing where partner A reads and partner B repeats (echos) what partner A read.
