Since extended care service started, we have had many of children being picked up later than 5 pm.
Our official Extended care hours are till 5pm and if children are not picked up by then, we need to have staff members do over-time, which is a violation of their contracts.
In an attempt to eliminate late pick ups, we would like to let you know that we are introducing a new set of rules:
1. Please call the office every time you are running late to inform us of your estimated time of arrival
2. We understand that sometimes latenesses happen due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g. meetings running late, train delays etc.). Each family will be given one excised lateness per month for such cases.
3. Each family is given a 5 min mercy period. If a child is picked up later than 5:05 pm, a penalty fee will apply
4. The late penalty is 500 yen for every 15 min
5. You will need to pay the late fee at the Office in cash on the same day
Thank you very much for your understanding.
Sincerely,
UST Office

Narrative Writing
Our new writing unit is all about narrative writing. This week students learned that when you write a narrative piece, you share a story about something that really happened. It can be about you or someone else. Students thought about a special time, then began planning their own personal narratives with our pre-writing activity page. |
