Thank you for a terrific year in Grade 1!
I hope you have a safe and wonderful summer break.
via email on Friday, June 30th.
I hope you're doing well!
In the last weeks of school we completed our current units in all subject areas and reviewed what we have learned in grade 1. Students completed an end of the year writing, math, and reading assessment to show how much they've grown this year. They did a great job sharing their best ideas and work!
Students brought home their G1 yearbook and workbooks on the last day of school, including math (2), spelling, writing, science, and their journal. During the summer holiday, students can complete any unfinished activity pages to help them review skills taught in Grade 1 and prepare for Grade 2.
Thank you!
Ms. Allison
A BIG thank you to Mr. Guy for this year's art fair and auction! It was such a joy to see everyone's artwork framed and ready to take home. I hope the students feel proud of the artwork they created and everyone finds a good spot at home to hang their work.
During the last couple days of school, our class looked back on the year and each student made their own Grade 1 memory book. They wrote all about themselves, their teachers, and their favorite memories during their time in Grade 1.
On Monday, June 28th we went to the concert hall to film our end of year concert. A BIG thank you to Ms. Erin! Also, thank you to PTA parents for helping. Everyone did an awesome job! We also made lots and lots of origami while we were there. :)
