Mathematics.
Clock face, big/large/minute hand, small/little/hour hand, minutes, hours, analogue and digital.
The students also practiced writing and reading the time in both digital and analogue formats. We also played some telling time games on our interactive white board. The students asked for the addresses so here you are!

This game has students parking a car in the right time slot.

This game is all about finding dates on a calendar.
We should be having our final assessment on this unit next week!
Writing.
A tiger who lost his stripes.
An octopus with only 2 legs.
A peacock that loses her colours.
A butterfly that loses her wings.
With a clearer focus of what the problem is, the students will be able to concentrate on how to solve the problem succinctly (and avoid meandering off topic!)
Reading.
Science.
What can air do?
They were then given objects, fans and balloon to find an answer to the question. Some of the more interesting discoveries we found were:
Air can move things.
Air can fill things.
Air stays in things until let out.
and perhaps the class favourite, Air in a balloon can make farty sounds.
We then looked at friction and air resistance. The students were tasked with solving an engineering problem. Panna was on a desert island and we needed to drop food and homework to her. How could we do that without the big crate squashing her on impact? The solution? Parachutes! We designed our parachute in class, built a test model and we will be testing our parachutes on Panna next week!
