This week we worked on goal setting and self evaluations. Students wrote their own reports, evaluated themselves using a rubric and wrote about what they would like to share with their parents on Monday at the PTC. We have put up the Social Studies Posters outside the classroom so while you wait please be sure to have a look at the Traditions We Share in Grade 1. Eco Patrol tied in nicely with what we have been talking about in Science. We went to campus and did our bit to help the earth. We have finished our Unit on Natural Resources and will move onto looking at plants. We will be reusing milk cartons to plant seeds we have been collecting over the term when we come back from Spring Break. Students also made models of bodies of water and researched a definition for each body of water. They wrote about a personal experience at the beach, a lake or a river. On Thursday we celebrated Zion's 7th Birthday with cupcakes as a delicious afternoon snack. Happy Birthday to Zion and thank you to Zion's mother for the cupcakes. The weather is starting to warm up and we are noticing the changes going on outside. Exercising before a Math Test helped a lot. This week's Show and Tell was an exciting one with students bringing a free choice item. Looking forward to talking with you on Monday at the PTC. If you have not sent in your parent questionnaire please bring it along on Monday.
