Mathematics.
14 - 6 = __
1. We break the 14 into tens and ones.
10 + 4 - 6 =
2. We can't do 4 - 6 so we will take the 6 away from the 10.
10 - 6 + 4 = 4 + 4
3. Lastly we add the remainders up.
4 + 4 = 8.

We had a lot of good discussions about the earth and how it rotates, why the moon waxes and wanes and watch a few videos showing it's impact on the earth. Next week will be all about wind and we will be assembling our own anenometer to measure wind strength and adding it to our class' meteorologist jobs.
