Farewell to the fairground!
A letter from Kevin Henkes.
Mathematics.
In the final assessment, everyone did their best but there was one question that caused a lot of problems. here it is for you to have a look at:
Writing.
1. They started with a question or a riddle about the topic of the book.
2. They stated what the books was about.
3. They gave an opinion of the topic at the end.
4. They used a big excited picture.
We then tried to make our own based on what we discovered.
Reading.
1. Gentle voices: We would use these normally when we read.
2. Big voices: We use these when there is information that we really want the listeners to know (like key words.)
3. Robot voices: When we are trying to get a lot of information across quickly.
4. Feeling voices: We try to make our readers FEEL something (like scared if we are talking about spiders!)
The students practiced reading their books and even presented them in front of Ms. Natasha for an impromptu performance.
